CAN YOU BE ANTI-TAX AND SUPPORT TAXPAYER-FUNDED VOUCHERS FOR PRIVATE SCHOOLS?

In a word … NO.
Taxpayers already fund one school system.
We can’t afford to fund two.

But the Governor just called an October Special Session of the Legislature to pass taxpayer-funded vouchers to pay for private schools.
Another half billion dollars that threatens the property tax relief we were promised.
We’ve been here before, the more money taken away from public schools, the more our local property taxes go up.
So how can a Republican claim to be “anti-tax” and support “taxpayer-funded vouchers”?
The answer, as you might have guessed, is politics. A handful of billionaires and their political action committees have threatened to recruit candidates to run against anyone who stands in their way. Even though 90% of all Texas students attend local public schools.
But there are many Republicans in the Texas House who are standing strong for taxpayers.
See if your State Representative is on the list.
Then call your State Rep. and tell them to protect our property tax relief and keep standing strong for taxpayers.
See the Republicans who are truly ANTI-TAX:
